Add another ‘R’ to the name, folks.

Propelrr® is now a registered trademark recognized by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL), the primary government agency that regulates trademarks and IPOs in the Philippines.

Part of our new trademark is the Propelrr tagline Drive Digital Differently® and brand logo, which is evident across promos, resources, and landing pages.

What does this mean for Propelrr®?

Our move to register Propelrr® benefits the brand and business in the following ways:

Brand Protection & Exclusivity

  • Trademark registration protects the business’s brand identity with legal provisions per the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, Section 123.
  • It provides owners exclusive rights to prevent the usage of assets outside the company.
  • In the Philippine context, trademark registration provides much more robust protection (legal protection) since we follow a “first-to-file” rather than a “first-to-use” rule.

Note: We are first-to-use and the first-to-file on the registered trademark we just got.

Brand Differentiation

  • The brand becomes a source-identifier, differentiator, quality indicator, and an advertising device (e.g. the Propelrr brand as a proper adjective to identify the services (noun) it describes).
  • Instills trust and builds brand loyalty among clients and prospects.

Builds and Secures Brand Reputation

  • Creates a positive image of the company. It helps build brand recognition and maintain a secure brand identity to prevent competitors from exploiting brand assets such as logos, identical marks, and slogans.
  • It safeguards consumer welfare. A trademark signifies the company’s commitment to consistently providing quality services and consumer satisfaction.

Better Valuation

  • As an intellectual property, a registered trademark is an asset of the company. It provides the legal rights to its owners to sell, assign, or franchise the trademark.

What’s the difference between ™ and ®?

According to IPOPHL, “A trademark is a word, a group of words, sign, symbol, logo or a combination thereof that identifies and differentiates the source of the goods or services of one entity from those of others.”

A trademark (™) is essentially an assertion in the marketplace that you own the brand and business. However, without a registered trademark (®) you do not own it exclusively – meaning anyone can still use it without legal restrictions. Thus, the move to get our ® marks is a milestone in our commitment to Drive Digital Differently®.
