Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Java Backend Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in Java development who is eager to contribute to building scalable backend systems and enhancing our applications. You will work closely with senior developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and high-quality solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Backend Development: Write, test, and debug Java code to implement backend functionalities. Develop and maintain APIs for seamless communication between backend and frontend systems.
Database Management: Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and optimize data. Ensure efficient queries and reliable integration with applications.
Security & Quality: Implement secure handling of data transit, storage, and retrieval, including encryption of sensitive information. Adhere to coding standards and internal quality controls.
Agile Delivery: Complete assigned modules/features within sprint timelines, ensuring no carryovers. Collaborate in sprint planning and contribute to solution design.
Collaboration: Partner with frontend developers and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Continuous Improvement: Document code, maintain project documentation, and suggest improvements to existing systems and processes. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging Java/Spring Boot technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 1 year of professional experience in Java backend development.
Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (mandatory).
Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns and Java/JEE internals (classloading, memory management, transaction management).
Experience with relational databases (SQL) and ORM technologies (Hibernate, JPA).
Proficiency in Git and version control systems.
